With the introduction of Amazon Go, cashless stores have become a focal point in many cities and the disparity they expose between those who have access to certain financial institutions and those who do not. A few weeks ago, San Francisco approved a ban on cashless stores within the city citing the inequality between those who cannot shop there and rely on cash. What prompted this vote and are we even ready for a cashless future?
